Three long sleeve tees 7-8 $ each

On my Marshall's run, I also picked up 3 v neck long sleeved t shirts to get me through the winter. I'm tired of rummaging, trying to find something to wear under my work clothes. Hence these recent additions...

1 white V neck long sleeved T $7
1 dark gray V neck long sleeved T $7
1 purple v neck with bronze stud detail 1/2 sleeved t with sleeve ruching $8

The purple is probably for weekends. But I don't have many longer sleeve T for weekend wear, either. Today I ended up looking like quite the slob, so I think I need to step up the weekend wardrobe a bit as well.

Time will tell, but I believe these were prudent choices that will get a lot of wear. And, they were a small investment. This has been the coldest winter I can remember.

The Sak Silverlake Convertible Satchel in Plum $80

I have been searching for weeks for a great work bag.

I was under the illusion that there is one perfect bag out there in the world for me. It would do everything but not be too big, so that I wouldn't put too much stuff in it. I am prone to shoulder problems when my purse gets 'too heavy' and I think for me, 'too heavy' is a measly 4 pounds. Sounds like a lot, but my cell phone and checkbook sized planner and change purse style wallet together at already about there.

For work, I wanted a bag that would fit a small purse type bag inside, because I often to run out of the office. But, I wanted it to fit my lunch. Unfortunately, we have large squat storage containers in my home. That means my usual preferred tote style bag for work could not do the job. So I was off to find a bag that would fit a squat storage container that wouldn't get too heavy.

The Silverlake must may work. I wanted a leather bag with braided handles. This leather is soft and supple and gorgeous from the start. I can't wait to touch it every day. The colors available were not ones that I was satisfied with. So, when the 'plum' showed up at Marshall's, I walked away. What they called plum, I call a mix between pink and purple. It's not a dark color. But it's got some gray so it's not a vivid color either. I went back the next day to get it. I can't even Ebay it for $80. I have plans of buying dye a true plum color to dye it later, perhaps even let it be two toned for a while. Pink-purple with royal purple bottom and edging could look really great. I'll report more later when I've had a while to test drive this baby. But for now, I'm very excited to have found it.
